Robert Allan Caro (born October 30, 1935) is an American journalist and author who got his start as a reporter, before completing The Power Broker 1974. This biography of a New York urban planner would shape the kinds of stories he would write in the decades that followed.
Since The Power Broker, Caro has won two Pulitzer Prizes in Biography, the National Book Award, a Gold Medal in Biography from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, along with many, many others. And he was kind enough to join our series for its official launch! Meanwhile, if you haven’t picked up your copy yet, it’s never to late to get started on The Power Broker, one of the greatest non-fiction books in the world by a genre-defining writer.
