The Kitchen Debates

The Nixon and Khrushchev Kitchen Debates from 1959 in full color. In his book Made in Russia: Unsung Icons of Soviet Design, Michael Idov argues that this debate, in the kitchen of the model home (designed by architect Andrew Geller) at the American National Exhibition, helped spark a Soviet consumer goods and industrial design explosion.
