99% Invisible Extra- Episode 19X- RJDJ Reactive Music

This week, the radio audience heard episode #10, but for you web and podcast listeners, I have a story I did about a year and a half ago about the reactive music app called RJDJ. I did this piece for an ill fated tech show pilot that was never broadcast, which totally bummed me out at the time, but I found a way to get some of the tape and ideas into episode #3 of 99% Invisible about augmented reality. I think that episode by itself worked, but to keep the show tight and on point, I cut a lot of the cooler aspects of the original story about the broader implications of reactive music and where it fits into the evolution of music. So, here it is in its full glory. Enjoy! Thanks for checking it out.

P.S. If you haven’t liked 99% Invisible on Facebook, now’s a great time! Also, I’d love more iTunes reviews, if you have a couple minutes to spare. As always, I appreciate you guys spreading the word on blogs and tweeting about the program. Making independent media means I rely heavily on you folks to let people know about the show. I’m grateful for all the support you’ve shown so far. Please drop a line in the comments section here or send an email (roman_mars@yahoo.com). Thanks, friend.
